2022: M Rosa Palacin – awarded. Award by the French Chemical Society to a Spanish Chemist. It will be officially delivered during the next meeting of the society in June.
2022: The first ever PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) HPC Excellence Award has been awarded to a team led by Professor Nicola Marzari, head of Theory and Simulation of Materials at EPFL's School of Engineering and Materials Simulations at PSI, and director of NCCR MARVEL.

07-06-2022: Prof Clare Grey is appointed "Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE)" for her work on rechargeable batteries, including lithium and sodium ion batteries, to improve their charging and discharging speeds, and their storage capacity, to meet the demand in transport applications, for storage and load-levelling on the electrical grid.
07-06-2022: Prof Peter Bruce is appointed "Knight Bachelor (Kt)" for his work to develop a fundamental understanding of the properties of materials and the processes taking place in batteries, and to use this knowledge to improve performance.
