MARVEL is a 12-year Swiss National Centre on Computational Design and Discovery of Novel Materials. Created in 2014 and led by Nicola Marzari at EPFL, it is driven by state-of-the-art quantum-mechanical simulations and a digital infrastructure to manage and disseminate complex computational workflows through AiiDA and the Materials Cloud. In BIG-MAP, this infrastructure will be put to the service of handshaking simulations and experiments with interoperability and automation.
